Baboosh Baby

Baboosh! It’s gone!

When I was pregnant with Hudson I had dreams of losing my baby weight in 3-4 months. Little did I know that I wouldn’t even get to begin working out until 9 weeks post baby (2 months) because my stitches ripped about 2-3 weeks post birth. With that said, Hudson is now 6 months old and I still haven’t quite got to my pre-pregnancy weight yet (but I am within 7 pounds so I am ok with that). Bodies change with babies, you have to get over it basically! The one thing I hated was my belly still looking pregnant post-baby. I used the Baboosh baby taut, which basically holds in your stomach and helps it shrink faster over time (think a modern day, painless corset). I have to say I didn’t wear it near as much as the directions said to, and I still noticed a huge difference after wearing it. My stomach went down much faster from using it and it adjusts with you (via velcro) as you get smaller (along with a good diet and exercise of course). With that said, if you want to get results faster…I would definitely recommend wearing one- just go to the Baboosh Site. Brooke Burke endorses this product and came up with it, so you know it has to be great, look at her after having several kids!

Workout with Kate Hudson

Who doesn’t have a woman-crush on the gorgeous, talented and super-fit Kate Hudson? I don’t even watch Glee, but I had to tune in to see Kate sing and dance because she is one of my favorite triple-threats! Kate has recently co-founded Fabletics, which makes active-wear to die for, that won’t break your budget. Think Lululemon, but affordable! I am sold on Fabletics, plus they give you 50% off your first outfit and free shipping for signing up on their website They ask you several questions and even give suggestions to items you may like! Genius! The items I started off with were the Lima Capri in black, the Luena legging in black, and the Norwalk tank in white/bright aqua. A long black legging and a cropped legging are staples every girl needs to have, and these are WONDERFUL! They are 88% Polyester/12% Spandex and offer a smooth, chafe-resistant design. They are also nice and thick (but not too thick) so you can’t see through them like a lot of cheaper leggings, and you can even wear them with normal clothes too because there isn’t a huge logo anywhere visible either. The norwalk tank is great because it is super cute and loose, and since I just had a baby 4 months ago I don’t exactly want a skin tight top yet. It gets as tight as you want at the bottom so if you are doing yoga or pilates and have to bend over, your shirt doesn’t constantly ride up revealing your belly for all to see…gasp! I love the bright colors they offer in this norwalk tank, plus I love that you get a tank and sports bra in one piece so you don’t have to go searching for two separate pieces, cause “ain’t nobody got time fo that!” Haha!

Hope you enjoy this fabulous line! I know I will be going back for more!

South Moon Under

So I am out shopping in the D.C. area with my friend Brittany and we go to a store called South Moon Under. It is a great store that has some pricey things and some not so pricey things. The clothes, handbags, jewelry, swimwear, and menswear were all great. I especially liked this large turquoise handbag that was only $68, but I resisted the urge to buy it. Literally like ten minutes later my only purse I brought with me to D.C. (Pinky) broke. So I went straight back to South Moon Under and bought this awesome leather turquoise bag. I recommend going to and shopping around. Do you love my new bag? I do!

Spring Scarves

I love me some lightweight Spring Scarves, I have several in pastel colors and two lacey neutral ones for Spring. Lace-like or delicate scarves are big for Spring and I just had to share the one I found today. To give you an idea, my other lace one that is also a neutral color was $18-20 from a boutique. Can you believe I found this one at Wal-Mart for $4.66? What a great fashion forward buy! I will have to say the others there weren’t as easy on the eyes that I saw there, but this one is a STEAL!
